She told me the one thing that would make it better

A client gave her feedback on her feedback course. It's meta, she knows.

The client took the self-paced giving and receiving feedback course. At the end, when asked for feedback, she said the scenario section could use videos, so people could see the five steps in action instead of just reading them.

That's what good feedback looks like. It's specific. It's actionable. It's easy to picture. And it's kind.

Notice what she didn't do. She didn't sandwich it. No compliment, criticism, compliment to soften the blow. She just said the one thing that would make it better.

She was right. So the videos got added.

Then came the part most people skip. Going back and saying: you said this, I did it, thank you.

The client wrote back thrilled. She said the course was even better now, and she loved that she was heard.

That's the whole loop. You get the feedback, you use it, you tell the person they mattered. And they feel like the feedback was worth it.
